A graduation project from the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering program achieved first place nationwide (Mechanical Engineering Division) at the "Innovations and Graduation Projects Forum 2026," organized by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate.

The project was held under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, University President; Professor Dr. Khaled Salah, Dean of the Faculty; and Professor Dr. Mohamed Safwat Abu-Rayah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. It was supervised by Professor Dr. Ahmed Saad Ali, Dr. Gamal Abdel-Nasser, and Dr. Abdullah Farag Abdel-Rahim, with Dr. [Name Missing] serving as the team advisor. Ahmed Mohamed Attia presented his graduation project in the Mechatronics and Robotics Engineering program, titled:

Smart Automated Plastic Recycle System (SAPRS) for Producing Sustainable Interlock Blocks

at the "Innovations and Graduation Projects Forum 2026," organized by the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate at its headquarters on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The team achieved first place nationwide (Mechanical Engineering Division) at the forum, which was attended by leaders of the Engineers Syndicate, members of engineering judging panels, and representatives of major industrial companies.

The project presents a smart and integrated production line for recycling plastic waste and converting it into sustainable interlock blocks with economic value. This is achieved by integrating the stages of shredding, melting, and injection molding into a compact mechanical system. The system features the application of industrial automation and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies (PLC, HMI, SCADA, IIoT, AI) for automated control and remote real-time monitoring. This contributes to reducing carbon emissions and supporting local products, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt's Vision 2030.

The project received praise from the judging panel for its... The project presented practical and implementable solutions, earning it first place and the official forum award.

A group of graduates who presented the project—representing their fellow project participants—attended the forum. These graduates included:

* Eng. Pavly Magdy Zakher

* Eng. Walid Khaled Mustafa

* Eng. Mina Habib Bakheet

* Eng. Samuel Raafat Kamal

Also present was Eng. Mahmoud Shawkat, a teaching assistant in the department.

Professor Dr. Khaled Salah, Dean of the College, congratulated the graduates who presented the project and the project supervisors on this award, which reflects the quality of the educational process at the college and the capabilities and skills of its graduates and students. He also expressed his gratitude to the university administration, headed by Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, the university president, for their support of the educational process and all student participation in various local and international forums and competitions.
