Dean of The Faculty of Agriculture

My children, colleagues, students, and loved ones,

On behalf of myself and all members of the faculty, supporting staff, and administrative body, I welcome you to the official website of the Faculty of Agriculture.

As a strong launchpad in Upper Egypt, the Faculty of Agriculture was established in 1959 as the fourth college of agriculture across the republic. The faculty is distinguished by its qualified human resources and material capabilities, whose collective efforts culminated in receiving academic accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE) by Resolution No. (118) on May 23, 2013, becoming the first faculty of agriculture in the Arab Republic of Egypt to earn this accreditation.

The Faculty of Agriculture consists of 14 scientific departments through which academic and research activities are conducted across all fields of agricultural production, led by its distinguished faculty members. This aims to award graduates various academic degrees (Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D.) that qualify them to compete in agricultural production, scientific research, and community service in line with sustainable development goals and Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Nations do not advance through science alone; sports, culture, and art play a vital role in shaping a productive and engaged personality in society. Therefore, the Faculty of Agriculture is keen to encourage its students to participate in student activities at the faculty, university, local, and international levels.

We have what it takes, we are capable, and we are confident in reaching our desired goals. Thus, I urge you to invest in these human and material capabilities to acquire knowledge and engage in activities so that you graduate equipped with all that is new in agriculture, contributing to achieving food security for our beloved homeland, Egypt.

As always, our well-known policy remains "an open door"—always welcoming to all and championing fairness to achieve equality and justice.
