Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, chaired today, Thursday, July 30, the meeting of the Leadership Positions Committee at the University, to discuss the renewal of the assignment of some incumbents of leadership positions, and to conduct personal interviews for applicants to occupy some leadership positions, within the framework of the university's keenness
to consolidate the principles of efficiency and transparency in the selection of administrative leaders, and to support the institutional work system.
Professor El-Menshawy stressed that Assiut University places the development of the administrative system at the top of its priorities, by selecting leaders who possess competence, experience, and the ability to plan and develop, in a way that contributes to raising the efficiency of performance and improving the quality of the services provided, and enhances the university's ability to achieve its strategic goals and continue its march towards institutional excellence.
The President of the University pointed out that the meeting dealt with the consideration of renewing the assignment of some incumbents of leadership positions, in addition to conducting personal interviews for candidates to fill the positions: Secretary of the Faculty of Law, Director General of the General Directorate of Engineering Affairs, and Secretary of the Institute of Drug Research, Development and Innovation.
Professor. Ahmed El-Menshawy explained that the committee listened to the presentations of the candidates, during which they reviewed their visions and executive plans for the development of the sectors candidates to assume responsibility, stressing that the evaluation process was based on objective criteria that included leadership and administrative competence, the ability to plan and make decisions, and having implementable development visions, in a way that contributes to upgrading the administrative work system, keeping pace with the principles of governance and institutional transformation, and supporting the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The President of Assiut University added that the Leadership Positions Committee works in accordance with the legal controls and organizing standards, to ensure the achievement of the principle of equal opportunities and transparency among all applicants, and the selection of the best elements capable of leading the administrative work efficiently, and enhancing the quality of performance within the various sectors of the university.
The committee members included: Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mina Emad, Deputy Governor of Assiut, Dr. Tayseer Hassan Abdel Hamid, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information, Dr. Dweeb Saber, Dean of the Faculty of Law and Legal Advisor to the President of the University, Mr. Shawkat Saber, Secretary General of the University, Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim Desouky, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Assiut, and Mr. Ahmed Sayed Sweifi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Assiut.
