First-year schedule for the Music Education Department

Under the generous sponsorship of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Mawla, President of Assiut University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and as part of the Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University's commitment to looking after its students and following up on the medical examination procedures, Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty, accompanied by Professor Dr. Doaa Abdul Mohsen, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, visited the students during the medical check-up day. This was part of the preparations for the new academic year 2026-2027. During the visit, they monitored the smooth running of the medical examinations, ensured the procedures were easy, and provided the necessary support to the students, guaranteeing a suitable environment for them. They were welcomed by Dr. Reda Abu El-Fotouh, Director General of the General Administration for Medical Affairs, and Mr. Ahmed Gamal Abdel Halim, Israa Kamal, and Yasser Ibrahim Hosni from the Student Unions Department, along with several students from the 'For a Better Egypt' central student body at the university, who helped organize and assist the students and facilitate the medical check-up procedures.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla – President of Assiut University, Professor Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali El-Adawy – Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahky – Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Baset – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and with the grace and guidance of God, the Faculty of Specific Education has won first place in the field of activities and achievements submitted on the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector platform at the Supreme Council of Universities, through the university's Community Service and Environmental Development Sector. This honorable achievement comes as a culmination of the outstanding efforts made by the faculty (through the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector) in carrying out activities, events, and initiatives, and its continuous commitment to achieving excellence and improving performance, reflecting its active role in serving the community and developing the environment. On this occasion, Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahky – Dean of the Faculty, extends sincere thanks and appreciation to Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Baset – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

Today, Professor Dr. Yasmin Al-Kahki, the Dean of the Faculty, met with the demonstrators and assistant lecturers from the various academic departments of the faculty.

The meeting focused on discussing the main problems and challenges facing the teaching staff and exploring ways to address them and find suitable solutions, in addition to listening to their suggestions and ideas aimed at developing the academic system and improving performance within the academic departments.

Professor Dr. Yasmin Al-Kahki emphasized the college administration's commitment to supporting the demonstrators and assistant lecturers, providing a stimulating academic environment, and encouraging them to continue development and scientific research and to put in more effort, contributing to achieving the faculty's goals and raising the level of educational and research work.

The meeting also included an open dialogue and exchange of ideas and visions, enhancing the spirit of cooperation and teamwork between the faculty administration and the teaching staff.

From the premises of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education in New Assiut... Assiut University kicks off the new academic year with a flag salute in an atmosphere full of patriotic enthusiasm and belonging. The flag salute ceremony and national anthem were held at Assiut University to mark the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, this year taking place at the Faculty of Early Childhood Education in New Assiut City. The ceremony was attended by: His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, President of Assiut University; His Excellency Professor Dr. Mohamed Sayed, President of Assiut National University; Professor Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Ali El-Adawy, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development; Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education, along with a number of university leaders, deans, faculty members, administrative staff, and students. The ceremony featured the national anthem and raising the flag of the Arab Republic of Egypt, in a patriotic scene that embodies values of belonging and loyalty to the country, reflecting Assiut University's commitment to instilling national values in its students.

As part of Assiut University's Faculty of Specific Education's commitment to enhancing the academic advisory system, supporting students, and providing an exceptional learning environment with the start of the new academic year 2026/2027, Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kohky — Dean of the Faculty, and Professor Dr. Doaa Abdel Mohsen — Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, along with: Professor Dr. Hala Salah El-Din — Head of the Art Education Department, Professor Dr. Hend Mohamed Ali — Head of the Home Economics Department, Professor Dr. Saad Hassan Mohi El-Din — Head of the Educational Technology Department, and Mr. Salah Ibrahim — Director of Student Affairs at the Faculty, met to emphasize the importance of the academic advisor's role in following up with students, providing necessary support and guidance, and helping them make the most of their potential and capabilities. They also discussed effective communication methods with students, monitoring their academic progress, and addressing any challenges they might face. The Dean also stressed the importance of integrating efforts between department heads, faculty members, and their assistants to ensure the smooth running of the educational process and provide academic support to students.

The Faculty of Specific Education at Assiut University welcomed the new academic year with the presence of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, President of Assiut University and Vice President for Education and Student Affairs. He was received by Professor Dr. Yasmin El-Kahky, Dean of the Faculty, along with the faculty deputies: Professor Dr. Nariman Saeed Ishaq, Deputy for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Basset Darwish, Deputy for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Dr. Doaa Abdel Mohsen, Deputy for Education and Student Affairs, as well as the heads of departments, faculty members and their assistants, administrative staff, and students of the faculty. During the visit, Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel Mawla took a tour inside the faculty, including the music training hall and the lecture hall, to check the readiness of the halls, ensure the smooth running of the educational process with the start of the new academic year, and review the level of equipment and services provided to students.
